GMAX Testing
HARD FIELD? ONLY A GMAX TEST CAN TELL FOR SURE.
Unlike natural turf, synthetic turf shows little sign of degradation or debris until it’s too late. Our Gmax test (conducted with a F355 Missile) tests a field’s surface using ASTM standards. The test evaluates how your field is aging and analyzes surface hardness and shock-absorbing characteristics.
Once the test is complete, you’ll receive a detailed report with date, time, location test points (minimum of 10) and average Gmax per point, as well as an overall average. A high Gmax value means the field is absorbing less impact, which may pose a safety risk to players. Fields that have a Gmax score of 200 or higher are considered unsafe for athletes.
